Every July 24th, Self-Care Day is celebrated, and the Hogar Corazón de Jesús of the Junta de Beneficencia, committed to the comprehensive care of older adults, held Self-Care Week, with a series of activities aimed at strengthening the physical, mental, and emotional well-being of the residents and collaborators of the Hogar del Corazón de Jesús.
The event took place from July 21 to 23, with the participation of a multidisciplinary team from the Hogar, with spaces that included everything from aromatherapy, free painting, and Tai Chi workshops, to psychology, nutrition, physical therapy, and medicine stands, turning the home into a true center for emotional health and reflection on the importance of attending to our own needs.
The initiative seeks to promote healthy habits, promote emotional expression, and reconnect with the essential nature of self-care as a form of dignity and respect for life.
“Taking care of yourself is an art, and that is a lesson we want to share from our home with the rest of the community,” said Psi. Estephanie Cajas from the Hogar del Corazón de Jesús.
